Listening to: Come A Little Closer - Brandy
Reading: Night by Elie Wiesel
I've moved to the Bay Area in California! (Under less than desirable conditions.)
I had eight days to say goodbye to everyone, pack my things, get my plane ticket and GO, so I had to leave a lot of things behind with my big brother. But I'm returning the weekend of February 4 (my mother's birthday) to gather up the rest of my things, because I'll be living there for quite a long time.
Most of my art supplies I am in dire need to replenishing due to the emergency move; my Photoshop is gone, to return some day (upon receipt of like $200!), my current $200 are reserved for Prismacolor markers and clothes in the meantime. I left my scanner behind as well, which I will pick up on the weekend, and the copier/printer will probably stay with my brother. So much for ample resources.
For those of you who know (and care) about my mom's condition...she's doing okay. Her surgery went well and she's remaining in Mount Carmel West hospital for a few more days. The doctors are saying she only has three months to live, but even though I'm hundreds of miles away I'm doing my best to make it the best three months of her life. So don't pity us, okay? If you want to show you care, don't mortify me. Send me money, or something! Kay, thanks.
